Hi everybody, this is Mike Staver. This is another episode of Mondays with Mike coming to you from my home studio this time. The reason I’m coming to you from this studio today is because I always do a special holiday message during this time of year.
It is that time of year again! And if there was ever a time where we needed to be focused on peace on Earth and goodwill to all people this is certainly that period.
I just want to invite you this year to embrace a certain kind of kindness, a certain kind of peace on Earth. What does peace look like for you? What does it look like for the people in your life? Is it inner peace, is it peace in your family, your relationship, peace of mind? What is the kind of peace that you can embrace and even pursue this time of year?
There’s a lot of people feeling dicey about what they’re going to say – do you say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah or something else? You know what, I don’t really care what you say! Just say something. Wish others the best. We do not need to be divided, we do not need to be critical of each other the way that we are. What we need to do is we need to come together, especially this time of year, as we start to contemplate ushering out what was arguably one of the most difficult periods of time many of us have ever been through.
As for me and my house, I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. If you prefer to hear me say Happy Holidays then Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukah. Whatever it is, let’s get rid of the worry about the notion of WHAT we say, and let’s instead transition into the spirit of what is MEANT by what we say. I think peace on Earth and goodwill to all people is an important thing right now. In fact, I think our brains and our hearts and our souls will function better as we start to realize and experience what peace on Earth would actually look like.
And so, my team and I wish you peace, and we wish you goodwill, and we hope that you will seize every opportunity to offer that to others. Maybe there are people you need to extend grace to during the holidays, maybe you need to reach out philanthropically. I don’t know what the needs you have are, but I do know that we can’t wait for others to do it, we need to do it ourselves.
Blessings and health to you during this holiday season. May you find your way through it in a way that is healthy and safe and that fulfills you while helping you contribute to what we all I believe really want – and that is peace on earth and goodwill to all people. Take care.
