Hi, everybody. I’m Mike Staver.
Can’t believe it. It’s the holidays.
‘Tis the season to be stressed out. What am I doing in this stupid mall? Yeah. ‘Tis the season. I go on a rant every year. I’m not going to go on a rant now because I want it to be a happy message for you. For the holidays.
Let’s not get so offended and picky about what we say during the season. Merry Christmas. Happy Kwanzaa. Happy Chanukkah. Happy whatever. Here’s the deal. The meaning, the value of the season, is important There is a reason that we celebrate peace on Earth, goodwill to people. There is a reason. It is a season of gift giving. I don’t care if you don’t have a dollar to your name, you can give the gift of love or appreciation.
How about this? How about we go through this season and give people the gift of non-judgemental behavior? How about we live and let live? How about we celebrate the differences we have in each other? I’m not talking about sociopaths and psychopaths. I’m talking about the real, excuse me, legitimate differences we have as human beings.
So as for me in my house, I’m going to wish you a Merry Christmas, because that’s just what I say. But guess what? If you celebrate Chanukkah, Happy Chanukkah. If you don’t celebrate at all, Happy December 25th Day.
The fact of the matter is that the work of the season is generosity of spirit. It’s about expressing generosity to others. How could you be more generous this season? What gifts do you have to give? Do you have the gift of caring, the gift of acknowledgement, the gift of taking care of others? What is it? I don’t know what it is, but I know this during the season. It’s the best time to do that.
I hope you have an amazing, magical period of time this year, and look forward to another year with great anticipation. Merry Christmas everybody, take care.
