Hi, everybody. I’m Mike Staver. This is Mondays with Mike, a weekly video series where I answer questions from people just like you. Here’s this week’s question.
“I’m not sure when you will get to this question right now, because it is a little bit timely at the time of this writing. Inflation is still too high. That’s now interest rates are climbing or at least stable at a higher level. That’s true. And many of our customers are nervous. How do you help our customers feel confident in us?”
Well, I don’t really know the job that I don’t really know the company that you work with and the job that you do. But certainty is one of the primary human needs. And so what you want to be really focused on is how do you give your customers the sense that you’re still in control, you’re still there for them, you still have power authority, you still have all those kinds of things so that they feel that respect for you.
So if you’re in the landscaping business, right, you want to be in touch with them on a regular basis, not just trying to sell your landscaping services, but adding value. Here are the five things that you can do to ensure that your lawn is good moving into this season. If you’re in the car business here, here’s some data on what’s going on with used cars and things that you need to know so that you’re in if you’re in the real estate business, here’s a market report in your neighborhood.
That’s how you have them feel confident in you. If you don’t give them information that they really value, it’s very, very difficult for them to have confidence. And if you feel like it’s only if they feel like it’s only about you, it’s not so great. So add value, do things that matter to them, make their life easier, remove pain, give them valuable information, and stay in touch.
Those are really the important things that was helpful.
