Hi, everybody. I’m Mike Staver. This is Mondays with Mike, a weekly video series where I answer questions from people just like you. Here’s this week’s question.
“Dear Mike, what goal do you think humanity is not focused on achieving but should be?”
Holy smokes. That’s a tough– What goal do you think humanity is not focused on achieving but should be?
There are a lot of these. I’d be interested for you to send me what you think. You could send it to info@mikestaver.com. I’d be interested to hear what you guys think. What goal do you think humanity is not focused on achieving, but it should be? What goal? Probably, man, it’s tough. I would say kindness, probably. I would say treating each other kindly, giving each other the benefit of the doubt. I think if humanity was focused on that, it would solve a lot of other problems.
I think it would solve a lot of poverty problems. I think it would solve a lot of homelessness. I think it would solve a lot of other issues because we would think differently. We would think about kindness first. What would it look like to be more kind? I think a close second would be getting rid of cancer. Would be a big one or chronic disease would be a big one, but I think if we all filtered everything we did through being kind to each other, being gentler to each other, giving each other the benefit of the doubt, the world would be a much better place.
I think it would take care of a lot of wars. I think it would take care of a lot of abuse. I think it would take care of a lot of issues that we face because meanness never manifest itself well. Self-centeredness never manifest itself well. I would say the first one is kindness, treating each other kindly and respectfully. Then I think the second one would be serious chronic disease like cancer.
I think, eventually, probably our great-grandchildren will look back on cancer and say it was the black plague of multiple generations. Hope that’s helpful.
